Sparrow the cat on 'Celebrating Today!' -Received by D. Tremblay, 2008
(Sparrow shows me herself with a party hat on) Celebrate who you are for without you the world would not be the way it is. Every organism has meaning and a purpose to call its own. You and I, the sun and the stars. Everything. Those of us in spirit relax and take note of the happenings on your planet. We know there is nothing to fear, all is well, despite appearances. Appearances can be deceiving anyway, so that’s why you need to let them go. When you look at something, close your eyes and see how it feels. Feel its pain, its sorrow and lift it away if you can. Feel it’s joy and its beauty and relish in it. Together be whole and together dance in joy. We say this to you from a afar- we are not alone. None of us are alone. We have each other and the Life Giver above us. We take charge of our lives when in the physical form, but that’s not all we are. We are so much more than that. Let me explain. I came as a cat, to live, to breathe, to excel in the grandeur of being a cat. I danced and pranced and lay in the sun and under the shadow of your feet. I got in the way, made you laugh and jumped on your lap, and you smiled. I brought tears of joy and tears of anguish (when I faded away) that did not last as long as the joy. Remember that. Joy always lasts longer. It may seem far away at times, but reach for it, grip it and pull it in. Let me tell you one last thing. Being a cat has its advantages. We see from the floor on up. We see you tipping on your toes and going through life in a blur, as if it all has to occur in an instant. Ease up. Slow down. Take a breath of the glorious air and let it in. Breath. Smile and be merry. There is nothing like today. There is no day like today. Enjoy it. Live it. Be one with it. Adieu. Back to the Animals Speak Page or To Main Home Page
